The Marlborough Suite offers superb accommodation for up to four people in one of Woodstock's grandest historic houses, Hope House, built at the same time as nearby Blenheim Palace, and in a similar style. Hope House has been magnificently restored and furnished for boutique short let accommodation including daily housekeeping and an organic English breakfast served downstairs in the Vanbrugh Restaurant. The spacious oak-beamed Marlborough Suite is on the second floor and consists of a master bedroom, a second twin bedroom, living room with study area, and bathroom. All the facilities of Woodstock and Blenheim Palace are within a few minutes' walk.

• The stunning master bedroom has a king-size bed with elaborate gilt headboard, Italian Beltrami bed linen and hand-made Mulberry Tree silk duvets and pillows. It is beautifully furnished with plenty of storage space and a chaise-longue.
• The second bedroom has zip link twin/king beds and is furnished to a similar level.
• The living room is spacious, light and elegantly furnished and decorated, with comfortable seating and a work desk, Sony Sky TV and surround sound system. It contains a fully stocked, reasonably priced mini-bar for guests' convenience and offers superb views of Woodstock.
• The bathroom has a heated marble floor, Victorian roll top bath with wall-mounted LCD TV, monsoon shower cubicle and a luxurious selection of toiletries.
• Free wi-fi throughout the Suite.
• A full locally-sourced organic breakfast is included in the fee, served in the Vanbrugh Restaurant downstairs. For lunch and dinner options, there is an excellent selection of restaurants and pubs serving food in Woodstock.
• For guests who wish to self-cater, use of the downstairs kitchen is possible by arrangement.

Location and access 

Woodstock is 10kms from Oxford, a fifteen-minute drive by car and there is a good bus service. It is surrounded by the beautiful hills and villages of the Cotswolds, which are a delight to explore.

Local area and amenities

Woodstock is a small town with excellent amenities. It has shops of all types, from a supermarket, chemist and butcher's to exclusive clothes, gift and antique shops. It is extremely well-furnished with hotels, pubs and restaurants, and also has a historic Town Hall, a library and an outdoor swimming pool, open in the summer months. Woodstock also offers visitors all the attractions of Blenheim Palace, with its beautiful park, gardens and lake.
