This is a very attractive newly-built apartment on two floors located in the popular residential area of Iffley. It has been stylishly finished by the owner who is a designer with a good eye for detail. The apartment provides excellent accommodation for up to four people. It consists of a large entrance hall on the ground floor, opening onto a hallway with kitchen, toilet and living room leading off. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double and one twin and the bathroom. The location, Henley Avenue, is 2kms from Oxford city centre on an excellent bus route and bordering on Iffley Village, one of Oxford’s most desirable locations with its Norman church, Iffley Lock and River Thames walks.

  • The apartment has been built as an extension to the owners’ house and is completely self-contained with its own entrance and a pleasant garden with garden furniture for outdoor meals.
  • It has been beautifully finished with hardwood doors and details throughout, porcelain floor tiles downstairs and oak floors upstairs and subtle lighting.
  • The living/dining room has a large, comfortable and stylish corner sofa, a table with chairs for dining, and TV/DVD. Doors open onto the garden which is like an outdoor ‘room’ with attractive wooden furniture.
  • The kitchen is very modern and well-equipped with fridge freezer, oven, microwave, induction hob, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. The kitchen surfaces are oiled wood and the cupboards and appliances have a dark grey gloss finish.

  • Upstairs are the two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. Both rooms are simply but stylishly furnished and have large fitted wardrobes with hanging space, drawers and shelves for all storage needs. The twin room has a small study area with desk and chair. Both bedrooms have blackout blinds to ensure guests a good night’s sleep.
  • The bathroom is attractively tiled and has a bath with monsoon power shower over the bath, plus sink, toilet and heated towel rail.

Location and access
Henley Avenue is at the end of the Iffley Road which runs south east out of Oxford city centre, parallel to the River Thames. It is an excellent location with easy access to Oxford city centre which is ten minutes by car or bus. It also connects easily to the Oxford Ring Road, the A40 and M40 and the A34. The River Thames is five minutes’ walk away and you can walk into Oxford along the Thames towpath in about thirty minutes. Iffley Village is one of Oxford’s beauty spots and boats run during the summer from Iffley Lock into Oxford and to Abingdon.
Local area and amenities
Iffley Road, Henley Avenue and the surrounding streets are one of Oxford’s main residential areas. There are local shops, including a supermarket, chemist, newsagent and takeaway shops near the apartment. There are several pubs and restaurants nearby in Iffley Village and on the river. Cowley shopping centre is about 1km away and the city centre is easily reached with all its facilitiles. A great choice whether you are looking for a holiday cottage in Oxford or easy access to the city centre.
