East Oxford extends from Magdalen Bridge at the end of the High Street along the Cowley and Iffley Roads. This is a mixed area with large elegant Victorian Gothic buildings along the Iffley Road but also many smaller terraced houses. It is known as a very lively, multicultural area with lots of night life, popular with students and young people, with many restaurants, entertainment venues and interesting shops.
