The Oxford Retreat is a pub just round the corner from our new Rewley Road property. It provides the perfect place for a relaxing drink after work, dinner with friends or somewhere to chill out with the paper on a Sunday afternoon.

The reason why The Oxford Retreat is a nice place to visit is because no matter what the weather is outside is provides the perfect venue. The pub’s outdoor heated garden is a havan right in the centre of Oxford. The heated lamps, canopies and fairy lights create a warm relaxing atmosphere that feels more like being on holiday in the Mediterranean than in a city centre.  Inside the pub the bar area is eclectically furnished with vintage furniture that makes it warm and inviting. In the evenings there is a nice atmosphere and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. The pub has a good wine list and selection of cocktails, beers and soft drinks to match everyone’s tastes. 

The food is another great thing about The Oxford Retreat. If this is your first visit to the UK and you are looking for traditional British pub food you will find it here. Try their Fish & Chips or Oxford Retreat Burger all made from locally sourced produce. The food is fresh, seasonal, well presented and reasonably priced (with mains being between £7-12). The dining area is atmospheric and is a wonderful place to have a meal with friends or family.
