Eating out in Jericho

Jericho is a popular enclave of Oxford just to the north of the city centre with a unique and bohemian vibe. One of the best things about Jericho is the amount of great food available. Here are our top five places to grab a bite to eat.

Branca – 111 Walton Street, Oxford, OX2 6AJ
Contemporary Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the pizzas are very tasty. We suggest booking to avoid disappointment.

Brasserie Blanc
– 71- 72 Walton Street, OX2 6AG
This is one of the restaurants owned by renowned French Chef, Raymond Blanc. Serving traditional French food that is beautifully presented with great attention to detail.  Our tip is to check online before you go as they often have special offers.

The Jericho Cafe
- 112 Walton Street, OX2 6AJ
A cute cafe with a mix of clientele. A varied menu with a Mediterranean twist as well as wonderful homemade cakes. A great place to go and people watch for an hour or two.

George and Davis
 - 55 Little Clarendon Street, OX1 2HS
Thanks to founder George Stroup, who decided that there wasn’t enough good quality ice cream in Oxford, you can now get amazing home made ice cream from 8am until midnight everyday. Bagels and hot drinks are also on the menu.

Posh Fish - 109 Walton Street, OX2 6AJ
Traditional British Fish & Chips, a must if this is your first visit to the UK. Reasonably priced and very large portions that are big enough to share.
